01 - The Challenge

Build a fully ownable identity

KanjoWin arrived with a loose early concept — a Japanese-inspired raffle brand centered around luck, cars, and speed.

The challenge: build a fully ownable identity rooted in Japanese street racing without becoming cliché or overly aggressive.

The brand needed:

  • a distinctive hero mascot
  • visual language with cultural credibility
  • a scalable identity system for digital, social, and merch
  • a UI-ready design direction for the upcoming product/platform
  • assets usable across socials, print, countdowns, raffle tickets, videos, and merch

02 - The Solution

Custom Mascot is the way to go

We built the identity around a custom Maneki-neko mascot, stylised to reflect Kanjo culture: confident posture, dynamic lines, subtle rebellious attitude, bold outlines, and a racing-inspired personality.

To build a coherent world, the visual system works in layers:

  • Primary: the cat mascot, logo, bold color accents
  • Secondary: illustrations of koban coin, omamori shapes, Japanese strokes
  • Tertiary: background patterns inspired by racing swipe, dynamic lines and arcade retro-gaming

Together, these create an energetic, playful, and unmistakably Kanjo visual universe that scales seamlessly from user interface to merchandise.

The new identity transformed KanjoWin from an early concept into a fully defined brand with clear personality, structure, and cultural depth.

The mascot and visual system created immediate recognisability and consistency across UI, social content, and merch — enabling the team to scale design faster and communicate more confidently.

The identity now supports product development, improves trust in a raffle environment, and provides a strong foundation for growth and community-building.
